Why we built this
The FIRE movement has a wealth of knowledge — communities, blogs, podcasts, spreadsheets — but most of it is scattered, gated behind newsletters, or buried under affiliate links. The good calculators are hard to find. The math behind them is often unexplained.
OurFirePath exists to change that. We're building the calculator and knowledge hub we always wanted: free, open, client-side only (your numbers stay in your browser), with real explanations behind every tool.
The name matters to us. Our — this is a community, not a guru. Fire — the goal. Path — a journey, not a destination you flip to overnight.

Private by design
All calculations run in your browser. We have no server, no database, and no idea what your numbers are.
Explain the math
Every calculator shows its formula and explains the assumptions. You should understand the numbers, not just trust them.
No gatekeeping
FIRE isn't just for high earners. The tools and concepts here are for everyone at every income level.
No affiliate links
Our blog and resources page don't have affiliate deals. If we recommend something, it's because we actually believe in it.
Honest about limits
Calculators are models, not crystal balls. We're upfront about assumptions and encourage you to consult professionals.
How the site works
Technology: OurFirePath is a static site — no server, no backend, no database. Pages are pre-built HTML files served from a CDN. Calculator logic runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript.
Privacy: We don't track your calculator inputs. We use no cookies (unless a future analytics layer is added — and if so, we'll say so). Nothing you type into any calculator is sent anywhere.
Advertising: We plan to add display ads (Google AdSense) when traffic warrants. Ad slots are reserved in the layout but are empty placeholders for now. If/when real ads appear, the content will never be compromised for them.
Updates: New tools, calculators, and blog posts roll out on a schedule. The site rebuilds nightly so content goes live automatically on its publish date.
